Napoli to submit bid for Hertha Berlin midfielder Lucas Tousart | OneFootball

Serie A champions SSC Napoli are showing increased interest in the signing of French Hertha BSC midfielder Lucas Tousart (26), according to a report this Sunday from L’Équipe. The 26-year-old is expected to move away from the German capital as Hertha have been relegated to the 2. Bundesliga after finishing bottom in the top flight.  He initially moved to the German capital in 2020. This past campaign, the Frenchman logged six goals and three assists in 34 games played in all competitions.

The French publication understand that talks are ongoing between Hertha BSC and the player’s entourage. Tousart is tied with Die Alte Dame on a contract set to expire in 2025. Napoli are reportedly willing to test the waters with a bid being submitted. Should Tousart join the Serie A champions, he would reunite with newly-appointed Napoli coach Rudi Garcia. The Frenchman coached Tousart for the 2019-2020 season during his tenure at the helm of Olympique Lyonnais. L’Equipe add that a unnamed German club is also showing interest in the 26-year-old.
