Manchester United have reportedly been in contact with Bologna to request information regarding Switzerland international Dan Ndoye, who is set to take on Italy at EURO 2024 on Saturday evening.
According to reports from Gianluca Di Marzio and Sky Sport Italia, Manchester United have made an initial enquiry with Bologna and have requested information regarding a potential transfer fee.
The Premier League giants have not yet begun any formal negotiations for the 23-year-old.
Manchester United owners INEOS are said to be familiar with Ndoye’s profile from his time with Nice in Ligue 1, given that they and United are now under the same ownership group.
Ndoye has enjoyed a fruitful start to EURO 2024. He and Switzerland are still undefeated at the tournament and have qualified for the round of 16 in second place in Group A. They will face Italy at Olympiastadion in Berlin on Saturday at 17.00 BST.
Ndoye also registered his first international goal in Switzerland’s final group stage match; 1-1 draw with host nation Germany. He did have the ball in the net for a second, but that was eventually ruled out for offside.
The former Basel winger also played an important part in Bologna’s journey to Champions League football this term, featuring in 32 Serie A matches across the 2023-24 season.
