Denzel Dumfries is “on fire” at Inter Milan, and his struggles for form earlier in the season are now a distant memory.

Since the start of 2025, there has arguably not been a single Inter player more in form than Denzel Dumfries.

The 28-year-old former PSV wingback has scored an eye-watering five goals since the turn of the year.

Moreover, Dumfries has hit the post in matches against AC Milan and Juventus. And he had a goal disallowed against Sparta Prague for a very narrow offside in the buildup.

Dumfries has really found his form on all levels. He is looking physically extremely fresh, and has really developed a keen tactical intelligence and sense of timing within Inter’s 3-5-2 system.

Just a few months ago, things looked massively different for Denzel Dumfries at Inter.

The Dutchman was struggling to cement his place in the first-choice starting eleven.

That has been the case since Dumfries arrived at Inter in the summer of 2021.

Matteo Darmian has always given the Netherlands international tough competition.

But a big part of the reason for Dumfries never quite making the starting spot his own has been a lack of ideal physical condition.

In recent weeks, that has not been the case. Dumfries has looked sharper than ever on an athletic level.

And the 28-year-old has shown just how devastating he can be when that is the case.
