‘Never a good sign’ – Liverpool boss delivers injury update on Conor Bradley

Liverpool manager Arne Slot says Conor Bradley could miss the club’s next two games after leaving the Aston Villa game with an injury.
The Reds came away from Villa Park with a 2-2 draw thanks to Trent Alexander-Arnold’s equaliser on the hour mark.
Mo Salah opened the scoring in the first half but his goal was cancelled out by Youri Tielemans before Ollie Watkins put the hosts ahead on the stroke of halftime.
Bradley replaced Alexander-Arnold in the 66th minute, but couldn’t finish the game after pulling up with an injury while making a sprint.
After the final whistle Slot told TNT Sports “it is never a good sign” when that happens. He subsequently said in his post-match press conference that the Northern Ireland international is likely to miss Liverpool‘s next two Premier League games, against Manchester City and Newcastle United.
“It is difficult but he felt a bit when he made a sprint,” the Dutchman said. “He tried to continue but had to go out.
“All the time with injuries, I always say if a player wants to go out himself, that’s not a promising sign.
“It will probably lead to the fact he is probably 99.9 per cent not available for City and I don’t expect him against Newcastle as well.
“Then we have to see if it’s one or two weeks or if it’s going to be even longer.”
Liverpool say that the club’s medical team will assess Bradley following his withdrawal.
The Merseyside outfit extended their lead at the top of the Premier League to eight points, although they have now played one game more than contenders Arsenal.
