Newcastle United have confirmed both Lorus Karius and Paul Dummett have signed new contracts at the club, keeping them at St. James’ Park until 2024.
Both players’ contracts were up at the end of last season, with Karius having only signed a one-year deal with the club upon joining last September.
The former Liverpool man was signed as a third-choice but was thrust into action in February when with Nick Pope suspended and Martin Dubravka cup-tied, he made his one and only appearance for the club in the Carabao Cup final loss to Manchester United.
Dummett, on the other hand, is the Magpies’ longest-serving player, having made his first-team debut in 2010. He has since gone onto make 205 appearances for the club, scoring four times from defence.
The two will now continue their roles with Eddie Howe’s side as they prepare for their first Champions League campaign in over 20 years.
