Newcastle have started the week with the signing of another goalkeeper by bringing in 37-year-old John Ruddy on a free transfer.
Having already signed Odysseas Vlachodimos from Nottingham Forest (who took Elliot Anderson in the other direction) early on Monday, they have added more depth to their options between the posts.
Ruddy joins from Birmingham City, who he left upon the expiration of his contract.
It takes the Magpies' senior goalkeeper count to five, although Martin Dúbravka is expected to move on this summer.
It also continues their busy start to the week, with Lewis Hall having also joined permanently from Chelsea and Yankuba Minteh departing for Brighton.
