Anthony Gordon missed Sunday’s match at Chelsea.
Eddie Howe saying that the 23 year old had felt an issue with his groin during training in the build up that match in West London.
The Newcastle United Head Coach adding that Anthony Gordon would be going for a scan on Monday.
Now on Tuesday morning, we have had an official club update.
Eddie Howe stating that the Anthony Gordon scan has revealed no serious injury.
The NUFC boss saying that the winger will be monitored and could even play against Chelsea on Wednesday night.
A massive positive and relief!
Eddie Howe – 29 October 2024:
“He has been for a scan, we are hopeful the injury isn’t serious, let’s see how he is today.
“It was in training on Friday, nothing serious, sometimes you get these things from time to time.
“There is a chance he could make Wednesday, but we have to make the right decision.”
