The Magpies announced news of the deal via a post on their official club website this evening.
The 19-year-old forward joins Newcastle United fresh off the back of a loan spell with Crystal Palace. Pritchard made six appearances in all competitions in her time in South London.
Pritchard started her senior career with Barclays Women’s Championship club Durham. The forward scored two goals in 21 appearances for The Wildcats in all competitions before Manchester City came calling. Pritchard joined Manchester City 12 months ago and while she is yet to feature for The Cityzens, she has continued to gain vital experience both in the club environment and whilst out on loan. The England Under-19 international will now be hoping to hit the goal trail in her spell with Newcastle United.
After joining Newcastle United, Pritchard said “I’m so excited to join Newcastle United. The women’s side have come so far over the past few years and I think the ambitions of the club align with my aspirations perfectly.
“My family and friends are Newcastle supporters and I have grown up with this club being so important to everyone around me. To be able to play for this club means a lot to my family and me. I can’t wait to get started, and meet all the fans and to hopefully score some goals that will help the team.”
Pritchard is Newcastle United’s second signing of the January transfer window.
