News | Backroom staff of PSV is assembled for the start of the new season

After Peter Bosz had been unveiled as PSV’s new head coach, the club can now confirm the backroom staff, with Stijn Schaars joining the staff as first team assistant coach.

Stijn Schaars will be promoted from the Academy where he took charge of the U16 side. He was a PSV player from 2013 to 2016. He made 56 first-team appearances for PSV and clinched the Eredivisie title twice. Stijn Schaars will return as Peter Bosz’s assistant coach along with Rob Maas, who has agreed to become first-team assistant coach. Tim Wolf and Abe Knoop will stay as an assistant coach and goalkeeping coach, respectively, in a similar role as last season.
