Nico Mantl interview

The boy from Unterhaching is moving across the Bavarian border to the city of Mozart. With his vast size, calm vibes and experience despite being just 20, Nico Mantl has everything needed for a big career in football. The German U20 goalkeeper is a step ahead of others his age. After regularly starting in goal for the past 18 months in the German third division, now is the time for a new challenge.

I had the chance at 17 to compete to start for Unterhaching. It pleased me a bit that it took me another year to take on this responsibility when I became 18. It was definitely good for my development, as will be my move to Salzburg. It's well known, after all, that talents are the focus here.

Nico has faced our club before in his childhood, albeit there have been plenty of disappointing memories associated with that.
