Argentinos Juniors are no strangers to player development but have not yet sold a player to a Europe for big money; that will change with González.
The 20-year old forward has spent a decade within the club and has decided this summer is the time to move on.
González scored 7 goals as his side returned to the Argentine top flight this past season.
The Argentine will join VfB Stuttgart of the Bundesliga for a fee around €8.5m and his former club Argentinos Jrs. will retain 12% of any future transfer fee for the striker.
González reportedly passed up a co-ownership deal between Inter Milan and Cagliari in the Serie A to sign with Stuttgart for five years.
