Nicolas Kuhn raised both hands in a ‘shut up’ gesture as he celebrated in front of the Celtic fans after netting his first goal to put the Hoops 2-0 up.

“A lot of players did a good job this season already. I think I wasn’t too bad either”

When questioned about whether his celebration was directed at anyone in response to recent unfair criticism, Kuhn replied via STV:  “Not anyone in particular, but to a lot of people. I think it was a great season already. A lot of players did a good job this season already, and I think I wasn’t too bad either.”

“I don’t really read what people are saying, but I get it from some of the teammates”

“I don’t really read what people are saying, but I get it from some of the teammates. I’m just happy that we won the title, and we keep going.”

Nicolas Kuhn made a much-needed return to form, regaining his early-season sharpness in front of goal. He appeared more dynamic, playing with the determination of someone keen to silence his critics.

With 20 goals and 14 assists to his name this season, Kuhn believes he has fully contributed to Celtic’s title-winning campaign, especially after a more limited role in last year’s success.

“I think it was a small break [in form], but it wasn’t too bad”

Kuhn said: “I think it was a small break [in form], but it wasn’t too bad. It’s been a long season already, and I’m happy to help the team today. It’s really good. It’s always nice to win a title. The team is really happy. It means a lot to win the title this season. I think that’s the reason why I came here, to win trophies. We did it again, so we’re all really happy. I think it’s always nice to win a title, but especially when you play a part, it’s even better.”

With theRangers awaiting Celtic at Ibrox this weekend, Kuhn and his teammates are focused on ending the season on a high as the club chases a historic ninth domestic treble.

“We have already shown a great reaction to the St Johnstone game”

Kuhn added: “I think in the last two games we have already shown a great reaction to the St Johnstone game. The goal was to just keep going and score some goals.

“The game against theRangers next Sunday is really important. I think we have to stay within the flow and focus until the last game. Hopefully, we can get the treble at the end of the season.”
