Simone Inzaghi will name the strongest possible starting eleven for Sunday’s Serie A title showdown between Atalanta and Inter Milan.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They report that the only doubt in the formation is in defense, where Benjamin Pavard is favourite to start.

Inter Milan travel to Bergamo to face Atalanta this weekend.

And this Sunday’s match promises to be an absolutely massive one for the Serie A title race.

Atalanta sit just three points behind Inter. Meanwhile, Napoli are sandwiched between the two Lombard teams at the top of the table.

Moreover, Atalanta made a huge statement of title intent with their 4-0 thrashing of Juventus last weekend.

For both Inter coach Simone Inzaghi and his Atalanta counterpart Gian Piero Gasperini, there will be no messing around.

For the coaches, the priority will be to name their strongest starting lineups. They’ll throw everything at Sunday’s match.

Over the season so far, and particularly in recent weeks, Inzaghi has rotated the Inter team heavily from match to match.

This has been to cope with the heavy demands of playing in multiple competitions.

But Sunday’s match is Inter’s last match before the break. Therefore, Inzaghi is not thinking about keeping anyone fresh or including any surprise names.

In midfield, in attack, and on the flanks, Inzaghi will go with the strongest eleven available on him.

And in goal, Yann Sommer is back, having made his return from injury against Feyenoord.

There is only one notable doubt in the Inter coach’s mind. On the right of the back three, either Benjamin Pavard or Yann Bisseck could realistically start.

According to the Corriere, it is former Bayern Munich defender Pavard who will likely do so, though.

The newspaper’s complete predicted Inter starting eleven for the match is as follows:
