According to the Sun, there are a number of fourth division sides looking to bring him to their club this transfer window.

Northampton, Salford City and Barrow are three teams that are all hoping to convince the centre-back to join their club.

Ferguson stands at 6ft5in and has been a dominant presence in the air.

The 22-year old topped the division for aerial duels won with a success rate of 87 per cent.

His performances for the non-league side have been eye-catching and it now only a matter of time before he makes the step up into the EFL.

Kyle is also the cousin of Aberdeen and Scotland international Lewis Ferguson.

But the youngster is hoping he will earn his breakthrough into English football with this potential move, with League Two now looking like an achievable target in the immediate future.

Ferguson made nine appearances for Altrincham this season as the side finished 14th in the National League table.

The Verdict

This would be a great next step for Ferguson at this stage of his career, as he branches away from the Scottish football lineage of his family.

A move to League Two would be a big step up in the level of football that he has played so far.

However, his performances have given sides the confidence that he can make the step up.

Northampton and Salford were competing for promotion this season, so it is likely that both of those offers could be more attractive than that of 22nd placed Barrow.
