The midfielder will reportedly pen a contract that will keep him at the City Ground until 2028.

The Ivorian’s signing represents a significant coup for the Tricky Trees, who barely survived in the Premier League last season.

Sangare has been earning rave reviews with his performances in the Netherlands since he joined PSV in 2020.

He has made 140 appearances in all competitions for the Eredivisie side, netting 15 goals.

Sangare made 29 appearances in the Dutch top flight last season, averaging an impressive 2.3 tackles, 0.8 interceptions and 1.6 clearances per game.

He also scored five goals and registered an assist, helping his side to a second-place finish ahead of Ajax.

His excellent performances sparked interest from several major European clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and Liverpool.

However, Forest have won the race for the defensive midfielder, whose arrival will likely give them a huge boost in their quest for a strong Premier League finish this season.

They have already signed Chris Wood, Ola Aina, Anthony Elanga, Matt Turner and Murillo in the 2023 transfer window.
