L’Équipe understands that Nottingham Forest centre-back Andrew Omobamidele (22) is in Strasbourg in order to complete his move to the Ligue 1 club.
RC Strasbourg Alsace are on the verge of completing the transfer of the young centre-back. This season, the Ireland international (seven caps) has made just one appearance in all competitions, which came in the EFL Cup. Since making the move from Norwich City to Nottingham Forest for a fee of a little over €12m back in 2023, he has made just 15 appearances for the Premier League club.
Strasbourg have already reached an agreement with Nottingham Forest to sign Omobamidele, whose contract with the Premier League side runs until the summer of 2028.
Omobamidele is already in France ahead of the completion of the move. His signature could coincide with the departure of Abakar Sylla, who according to L’Équipe, no longer features in Liam Rosenior’s plans at the club.
