OGC Nice have completed the signing of Aliou Baldé (20) from Lausanne-Sport. The Senegalese youth international has reportedly signed a five-year deal with Les Aiglons.
Baldé joins from Lausanne-Sport, Nice’s partner club in Switzerland. According to reports, he joins Les Aiglons for a €2.5m fee. The transfer is another sign of the collaboration between the two clubs, which are both owned by INEOS. Romanian winger Rares Ilie was loaned to Lausanne-Sport from Nice earlier this summer.
So far this season, Baldé has featured six times for the Swiss side, scoring twice. Overall, the Feyenoord youth product has played 20 times for Lausanne-Sport scoring seven goals and registering four assists.
Baldé, a versatile attacker who is most accustomed to playing on the left wing, will find himself in competition with new signing Jérémie Boga as well as Sofiane Diop. However, there could also be opportunities on the right wing, especially in the wake of Billal Brahimi’s loan move to Stade Brestois.
