La Liga giants Barcelona have on Monday announced a pair of injury blows in the club’s first-team squad.
This of course comes fresh off an evening to forget for Hansi Flick’s troops on Sunday.
After making the trip to Anoeta brimming with confidence fresh off seven successive victories across all competitions, Barcelona were brought crashing back down to earth, courtesy of a 1-0 defeat.
En route to as much, the Blaugrana were unable to count on the services of star attacker Lamine Yamal, owing to a blow suffered against Red Star Belgrade last week.
Not only that, but Robert Lewandowski then suffered a setback, too, seeing out the closing moments in San Sebastian looking in evident discomfort.
All of a Barca persuasion, in turn, will no doubt be interested to learn of updates on both attackers on Monday coming to the fore.
As per a release across the club’s website and social media platforms:
‘Tests this morning confirmed that first team player Lamine Yamal has a grade 1 high right ankle sprain. He is expected to be out for two to three weeks.
‘Robert Lewandowski has suffered a lower back injury. He will be out of action for approximately 10 days.’
