Barcelona are all set to take on AS Monaco in their UEFA Champions League 2024/25 opener tomorrow away at The Stade Louis II.
Having completed the final training session today before the game, manager Hansi Flick has announced the squad list of players he will be taking to face the Ligue 1 outfit.
The big news is that Ansu Fati is back in the squad, making his return for Barcelona after over a year, having spent the last season on loan and then having had to deal with a pre-season injury.
The Barcelona No. 10 has officially received his medical clearance and could be set for his season debut tomorrow in Monaco, especially with the likes of Dani Olmo and Fermin Lopez unavailable through injury.
As a result of the injury-enforced absence, Flick has also called up teenage La Masia cousin-duo of Guille Fernandez and Toni Fernandez.
The 16-year-old duo have made a big impression on the manager since pre-season and may very well make their official first-team debut if all goes well tomorrow night.
Andres Cuenca and Sergi Dominguez also make the list along with regulars like Hector Fort and Gerard Martin.
Frenkie de Jong, Gavi, Marc Bernal, Olmo, Fermin, Ronald Araujo, and Andreas Christensen are all the absentees.
