Barcelona have been the team to watch so far in La Liga. With seven wins in as many games, they sit at the top of the league standings by a fair margin and will look to pull clear of Real Madrid once more later tonight.

The Catalan club has been functioning perfectly in all aspects. Right from Hansi Flick’s management to the flourishing attacking quartet and the high-performing young talents, everything seems to be falling in place.

Three nominees for La Liga awards

Earlier today, La Liga officially announced the nominees for various awards for the month of September and Barcelona have secured three nominations across the category.

For starters, Marc Casado has been nominated for the best U23 Player of the Month award and is undoubtedly one of the favourites to win it. Also nominated are Vitor Roque, Moleiro, Enzo Boyomo and Hugo Alvarez.

Despite being eligible for the aforementioned category, Lamine Yamal is rightly placed with the bigger players and has directly been nominated for the Player of the Month award. After all, he has scored two goals and provided one assist in two league games this month.

Also nominated alongside the La Masia starlet are Kylian Mbappe, Inaki Williams, Giovani Lo Celso, and Carlos Vincente.

The third category where Barcelona boast of a nomination is unsurprisingly the Manager of the Month award.

Still on a perfect record with seven wins, Flick is undoubtedly the deserved winner once more after picking up the award for August. His team, after all, have scored nine goals in two league games so far this month.

Carlo Ancelotti and Ernesto Valverde complete the list of nominees alongside the German tactician who will be looking to extend his team’s record later tonight against Getafe.
