Léo Duarte has left Milan and will try to revive his career in Turkey.
Duarte has never really found himself at Milan and barely made an impact since joining Flamengo back in summer 2019.
It became apparent that Stefano Pioli has no plans for Duarte when 20-year-old Pierre Kalulu was preferred over him when there was an emergency in defense.
Today, the club announced that the 24-year-old has left Milan to join İstanbul Başakşehir.
“Milan and Istanbul Başakşehir FK have reached an agreement over the loan of Léonardo Campos Duarte da Silva,” a statement reads. “The player will be joining Istanbul Başakşehir FK until June 30, 2022 on a temporary basis with an option for the Turkish side to register the player permanently.
“The Club would like to thank Léo for his professionalism and wishes him the best for his personal and professional future.”
