Ligue 1 newly-promoted side ESTAC Troyes on Friday broke their all-time transfer record through the signing of 18-year-old Brazilian midfielder Metinho from Fluminense, in a €5m deal.
The player signs under heavy influence from the wider City Football Group, who recently formally acquired the French team – their intention is to attempt to use ESTAC as a ground to progress young talents that they attract globally with their network of partner and owned clubs worldwide.

Metinho is unlikely to be a starter for ESTAC in the first instance.
