Official: Girona star signs new contract | OneFootball

La Liga outfit Girona have on Tuesday announced a contract renewal for an important member of the club’s first-team ranks.

The player in question? Ivan Martín.

Midfielder Martín has for his part continued to play a starring role for Girona over the early months of the new campaign.

All told, to date in 2024/25, the Spaniard has racked up 12 appearances, remaining one of the first names on the team sheet of boss Míchel.

Ahead of the expiration of his contract terms in Catalunya in the summer of 2026, the Montilivi brass, in turn, recently kicked into gear renewal talks with Martín and his entourage.

And, as alluded to above, on Tuesday, such discussions have officially borne fruit.

As per a statement across Girona’s website and social media platforms:

‘Girona FC is pleased to announce the contract extension of player Ivan Martín, who has renewed his commitment to the Club for two more seasons, until June 2028. This renewal reflects the Club’s confidence in the talent and dedication of Ivan Martín, a player who has shown great progression and commitment since his arrival.’
