Hoffenheim have announced that the club has signed Angelo Stiller from Bayern Munich on a free transfer.
Stiller will join the club on a four-year deal when his Bayern contract expires in the summer. It was expected that the youngster would break into the club’s first team this season, but he virtually spent all his time at FC Bayern II — except for a few short cameos for Hansi Flick’s side.
“Angelo is certainly one of the most exciting talents in central midfield and has already gained professional experience at Bayern despite the extremely high competition,” Hoffenheim sporting director Alexander Rosen said.
“He has a very fine left foot, acts skilfully and consistently in duels and has a high level of game intelligence.”
Rosen wants to nurture talent at Hoffenheim, “It’s an essential part of Hoffenheim’s DNA to find young, highly talented players, to integrate them responsibly into our professional team and to develop them.
“This has distinguished us in the past few years and applies both talents from our academy to players that we recruit through our strong scouting.”
Stiller played under Hoffenheim head coach Sebastian Hoeneß in Bayern Munich II’s 3. Liga championship.
We at fcbinside wish Angelo good luck in the next chapter of his career!
