Contrary to reports earlier this evening, it has now been confirmed that Pierre Kalulu isn’t included in AC Milan’s squad for the Trofeo Silvio Berlusconi. The Frenchman’s move to Juventus is now seemingly imminent, in other words.

Kalulu has been heavily linked with Juventus in the last 24 hours or so and it seems a total agreement is very close. As confirmed by Milan this evening, he hasn’t been called up for the game against Monza and will thus watch on from the sidelines.

Official Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Calabria, Thiaw, Gabbia, Terracciano; Musah, Adli; Saelemaekers, Loftus-Cheek, Leao; Morata.

Bench: Raveyre, Torriani, Bennacer, Jovic, Reijnders , Okafor, Zeroli, Theo, Jimenez, Chukwueze, Tomori, Liberali, Pavlovic, Pogeba, Cuenca.

Gazzetta dello Sport reported earlier today that the final details just need to be sorted for the move to materialise. The squad exclusion, as such, is a big indication of where the negotiations are headed and Kalulu is probably getting ready to pack his bags already.

The figures of the deal are yet to be fully confirmed, but it should be a paid loan with an option to buy, as well as a future resale clause. We discussed the deal and the financial effects on our Substack last night, so check that out if you haven’t already.
