The Argentine forward joined Milan on a free transfer back in 2023 but never really found a place with the Rossoneri, leaving for loan spells at Almería and Alavés.

However, space was scarce for him in La Liga and so the 20-year-old finds himself on the move again, this time permanently, as he heads to Mexico City.

“Milan has announced the early termination of Luka Romero Bezzana’s loan to Deportivo Alavés. The player has been transferred permanently to Cruz Azul FC. The Club extends its best wishes to Luka for success in his future career,” a statement on the Milan website reads.

Romero signed a five-year contract with Cruz Azul and he will try to return to playing consistently and maybe go back to Europe soon.
