Olympique Lyonnais have confirmed, via social media, the double signing of Adryelson (25) and Lucas Perri (26) from Botafogo for a combined fee of €7 million.

The arrival of the two Brazilian players had been expected for some weeks, and they will now be able to join up with Pierre Sage’s squad after signing contracts until the 30th of June 2028.

The transfer represents the latest piece of business between the sister clubs after the signing of Jeffinho (23) last January. Botafogo are owned by the American businessman, John Textor, who also holds a majority share with Lyon.

Les Gones have reportedly been in the market for defensive reinforcements having been linked to the centreback Clement Lenglet (28). The purchase of Adryelson will provide some cover in that position.

Whereas Perri appears to have been brought in to create some competition for first-choice goalkeeper Anthony Lopes (33).

Lyon will likely still be active in the market despite this double swoop having previously promised a big January transfer window due to their summer spending being heavily restricted by the DNCG (French football’s financial watchdog).
