Official: Palacios joins Inter | OneFootball

Inter confirm the signing of Argentinean defender Tomas Palacios.

Serie A title holders Inter confirmed the purchase of Argentinean centre-back Palacios from Talleres on Friday.

“FC Internazionale Milano can confirm that Tiago Tomás Palacios has joined the Nerazzurri from Club Atlético Talleres,” the Nerazzurri said.

“The Argentinian defender, who was born in 2003, has signed for the Club on a permanent basis.”

Several sources in Italy report that the deal is worth €6.5m, including add-ons.

Palacios, 21, was drafted in to replace Tajon Buchanan,, who will remain out of action at least until December with a tibia injury.

Palacios will be a backup for Italy international Alessandro Bastoni, while Carlos Augusto will replace Federico Dimarco on the left flank when needed.

It remains to be seen whether the new Inter signing will be available for tonight’s Serie A clash against Atalanta.
