The former Arsenal striker scored 30 goals with the Ligue 1 side in all competitions. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang proved notably lethal in the Europa League, a competition he became the outright record goalscorer with 31 goals in total. Marseille eventually fell to eventual winners Atalanta in the semis.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is set to earn €20m per season with his new club. Marseille are set to bank between 9 and €10m for the departure of their starting striker. The latter already announced he would be leaving the Ligue 1 side this Wednesday. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is set to be replaced as Marseille’s primary attacking threat by Manchester United striker Mason Greenwood (22), who reportedly underwent his medical today with the Provence side.
