Serie B outfit Sampdoria have this afternoon announced the signing of 18-year-old Paris Saint-Germain forward Noha Lemina, who has joined on a loan deal with no option to make the move permanent at the end of the campaign.
The Gabon-born French youth international, who is the brother of midfielder Mario Lemina (currently at Wolves, formerly of Nice, Juventus and Marseille), impressed during PSG’s pre-season tour of Asia. He was given the chance to start against Al-Nassr, and while he did not find the net, he was one of the Ligue 1 champions’ more active players during the match.
Lemina notably scored four goals in five games over the course of PSG’s Youth League campaign last season, although he has yet to make a senior appearance. He now joins the Ligurians, who are managed by Andrea Pirlo, who will be looking to make an instant return to the top flight after coming 20th in Serie A last season.
