La Liga giants Real Madrid have unveiled their matchday squad to take on Rayo Vallecano.

And it features a pair of altogether noteworthy absentees.

Real Madrid are of course primed to return to action later today.

Sandwiched between a pair of Champions League meetings with city rivals Atlético, Los Blancos will turn attentions back towards matters on the domestic front.

A La Liga meeting with Rayo Vallecano lies in wait, amid the ongoing efforts of Carlo Anelotti’s troops to chase down Barcelona atop the table.

In efforts towards as much on Sunday, though, as alluded to above, Real Madrid will be forced to make do without the contributions of a pair of altogether important players.

This comes with both Thibaut Courtois and Antonio Rüdiger having been left out, afforded some much-needed rest amid a hectic fixture list at present.
