With less than two hours left before Real Madrid kick things off against AC Milan at the Santiago Bernabeu in the UEFA Champions League, manager Carlo Ancelotti has announced the starting lineup for the game.
The big question heading into the match was surrounding the midfield configuration and personnel that the manager would choose for the context.
And, Ancelotti has opted to go in with a four-man midfield unit despite the return of Rodrygo Goes in the squad.
Jude Bellingham and Federico Valverde start as expected but Aurelien Tchouameni has got the nod ahead of Eduardo Camavinga while captain Luka Modric also features from the get-go.
In defence, there are no alterations with Antonio Rudiger recovering from a muscle overload and being fit enough to start. He pairs up with Eder Militao at the centre while Lucas Vazquez and Ferland Mendy continue as full-backs despite a horror-show vs Barcelona.
Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr. form the attacking partnership up top for Real Madrid against Milan, with Rodrygo, Endrick, Arda Guler, and Brahim Diaz all being options on the bench.
