Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga (21) has sustained a knee ligament injury during Tuesday’s training session before tonight’s UEFA Super Cup clash against Europa League winners Atalanta BC in Warsaw. The Stade Rennais youth product collided with France international teammate Aurélien Tchouaméni and extended his left knee.

Real Madrid have ruled out an ACL rupture for Camavinga. Initial tests have instead revealed an internal collateral ligament sprain in his left knee, the Champions League-playing club has announced. The 21-year-old is set for six to seven weeks on the sidelines, according to L’Equipe. Camavinga will therefore miss the first games of the La Liga season with Real Madrid as well as September’s upcoming international break with France.
