The Italian Referees Association has appointed Matteo Marcenaro as the main referee for Saturday’s showdown between Inter Milan and Torino.

According to FCInterNews, Marcenaro will blow the first whistle at Giuseppe Meazza.

In addition, two veteran linesmen, Alessandro Giallatini and Filippo Bercigli, will be Marcenaro’s assistants.

Meanwhile, Rosario Abisso and Gianluca Aureliano will be in the VAR room.

The match between Inter and Torino kicks off on Saturday, 20:45 CET, with the home side seeking their third consecutive win.

Simone Inzaghi’s charges have bounced back from a Derby della Madonnina upset with back-to-back victories.

Udinese were first to feel Inter’s wrath last weekend.

Lautaro Martinez returned to the scoresheet with a match-winning brace to inspire a 3-2 triumph at the Bluenergy Stadium.

It was a perfect warm-up for Tuesday’s UEFA Champions League encounter against Red Star Belgrade.
