Official | Rémy Cabella joins Olympiacos from Lille | OneFootball

Olympiacos have confirmed the signing of Rémy Cabella (35) on a free transfer from Lille OSC, with the former France international (last cap in 2014) coming to the end of his two-year contract in the North of France.

Cabella joined Lille following a tumultuous 2021/22 campaign, which he started at Russian club FC Krasnodar but ended at Montpellier HSC after his contract was mutually terminated following the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

At Lille, Cabella was able to experience two seasons of European football as he helped the club reach the quarter-finals of the Europa Conference League (where they were eliminated by Aston Villa) and the round of 16 in the Champions League (where they were knocked out by Borussia Dortmund).

At Olympiacos, the former Newcastle United man will get to experience Champions League football for another season, after the Greek league champions booked their place in the league phase of next year’s competition.
