Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi has decided to start Yann Bisseck and Matteo Darmian in defense away to Empoli. This evening’s Serie A Match Day 10 kicks off at 18.30 CET.
Inter are looking to return to winning ways following a 4-4 draw against Juventus last weekend.
After winning four consecutive league matches on either side of October’s international break, the Nerazzurri slipped on Sunday.
However, they are still within touching distance of leaders Napoli, trailing Antonio Conte’s side by seven points with a game in hand.
Furthermore, with games every three days, the Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi has decided to rotate the squad.
Therefore, Inter coach Simone Inzaghi has made a handful of changes to the team that drew with Juventus in Serie A this past Sunday.
Firstly, in midfield injury has forced Inzaghi’s hand. Midfielder Piotr zielinski is absent due to being dropped.
Therefore, Italy international Davide Frattesi starts in his place.
Secondly, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Nicolo Barella complete the midfield trio. Meanwhile, in defense there are further changes.
Then, Alessandro Bastoni starts to the left of the back three. Also, Netherlands international Stefan de Vrij starts. This is because Francesco Acerbi is injured.
Furthermore, Germany Under-21 international Yann Bisseck completes Inter’s back three. Therefore, Benjamin Pavard has been benched.
In goal, meanwhile, Yann Sommer keeps his starting spot.
And on the flanks, there are further changes. Former Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian returns to the starting XI at the expense of Denzel Dumfries at right-wingback.
Carlos Augusto is injured with Federico Dimarco starting.
Furthermore, in attack Inzaghi has given the nod to Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram.
Aside from Calhanoglu and Acerbi being out, Inter have one more injury absentees – Canadian international Tajon Buchanan continues to recover from a broken leg.
Kristjan Asllani will be on the bench due to a minor fitness problem.
