L’Équipe confirm Turkish reporting that Ligue 1 side OGC Nice have made an opening proposal to Besiktas for 20-year-old goalkeeper Ersin Destanoglu.
The offer is understood to be worth €5m – Besiktas want €12m in order to sell their player.
Les Aiglons are looking to beef up this sector, as Walter Benitez’s contract with Le Gym expires in June 2022 and there is an option to extend but only in the event that OGCN qualify for Europe.
The club’s understudy, Yoan Cardinale, is out of contract next month and Les Aiglons expect not to offer hi a new deal.
Sporting Director Julien Fournier went to Turkey to watch the player. The 1.95m tall goalkeeper is also the starting goalkeeper for the Turkey U21s.
OGC Nice have a provisional agreement with the player himself, but talks continue over a fee with Besiktas.
