Gianluca Di Marzio is reporting that OGC Nice have submitted an offer to Besiktas for goalkeeper Ersin Destanoğlu (22), following the departure of Kasper Schmeichel (36) earlier on deadline day.
Nice terminated the Danish goalkeeper’s contract by mutual consent, as revealed by a club communiqué. This comes after Get French Football News exclusively revealed that Les Aiglons were attempting to offload the player before the end of the transfer window, even if it meant losing him on a free.
The purchase of Marcin Bulka from Paris Saint-Germain and his establishment as first-choice goalkeeper at Nice has meant that the former Premier League champion with Leicester City had lost his starting place with Nice this season.
However, with time ticking away, Nice are in the market for a replacement and have submitted an offer for Destanoğlu, as reported by Di Marzio. The Turkey youth international is yet to feature for Besiktas this season. However, time may be an obstacle to the completion of the deal.
