One Leicester player will definitely be in the PL next season

Sunday saw a better showing from Leicester. It was a game that had positives. Unfortunately for LCFC supporters, the effort may prove to be too little, too late at this point in the season. There is, however, a consistent bright spot on the team. With the realistic growing possibility of moving down a level, the roster could look drastically different.

This includes the likelihood of another team acquiring Mads Hermansen's services. The keeper deserves to play at the Premier League level. His play against Chelsea showed once again how great he is.

Saving a penalty on Cole Palmer was the highlight for the Foxes. The Chelsea player had scored all previous attempts from the spot. Only the Danish keeper ruined the 100% hit rate of the England international. Some gamesmanship was part of the run-up to the attempt. Either way, the dive was spectacular while keeping the ball out of the back of the net.

Throughout the match, Hermansen stepped up, even outside of the big PK moment. Marc Cucurella found the breakthrough, but it took a lot to get past the Leicester goalie.

Ruud van Nistelrooy's midfield and defense had a better showing compared to recent performances. His side still allowed a lot of pressure on goal. The lack of quality led to 20 shots against and forced seven saves from their number one choice between the posts.

Departure from Leicester looking more likely

Such games will lure managers at other clubs to bring him to their side. Quality goalkeeping is difficult to find. When talent evaluators take the disproportionate amount of attempts against City, Hermansen stands out even more.

Furthermore, big saves inspire teammates. Although the Foxes weren't able to get a result against CFC, their effort was stronger, and the team stepped up to push for a result. The special Hermansen moment served as something of a line of demarcation. After the PK save, RvN's men rallied around their keeper and showed renewed fight.

Granted, the ensuing goal happened later in the second half. Fans could still see how much the goalie's heroics meant. Assuming Leicester fall to the Championship, a Prem side will be happy to add a keeper in good form who can motivate teammates, even when the flow of the match is running against them.
