Graham Potter is certainly doing no harm in adhering himself to the West Ham fans.

The new Head Coach, who is set to take charge of his first home match tonight against Fulham in the Premier League, wants to build a connection between the team and the Hammers faithful.

“Friday was really good. I had no doubt about the supporters, and for sure I can’t wait for the first home game tomorrow night,” Potter told the press, as reported by whufc.com

“We need a connection between the supporters and the team, and so we have to build a team that can help do that. We hope the performances and results are good, so we can bring everyone along with us.

“I think our supporters know where we are with our journey. The result is the most important thing, ultimately.

“We want to play the right way, but points are helpful. If we could have both, that’d be great.”

Potter though hasn’t been given an easy start to life in east London injury wise, with the former Brighton boss giving an update on the current state of play, with some positive news surrounding Crysencio Summerville though.

“It’s a minor one with him,” said Potter. “He felt something after about 35 minutes, and finished the first half probably not at 100 per cent. It’s touch and go for tomorrow, so let’s see.

“Emerson has made good progress and trained, Jean-Clair Todibo remains with the physio, but Dinos Mavropanos is OK.”
