A somewhat forgotten member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona will be afforded an increasingly prominent role over the coming weeks and months.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Pau Víctor as the player in question.
Frontman Víctor is for his part of course fresh off something of a whirlwind summer.
After his loan arrival from Girona was made permanent by the Barcelona brass, the Spaniard was thrown straight into the thick of things, with Hansi Flick’s senior squad.
And to say that Víctor went on to take advantage of as much would be something of an understatement…
Across starts in the Blaugrana’s friendly meetings with Manchester City and Real Madrid, the 22-year-old found the net on three occasions.
In turn, it has come as something of a surprise to see Víctor, over the season’s early weeks, afforded a measly seven minutes of playing time.
As per the aforementioned Sport, however, the Spaniard need not fret:
‘The schedule ahead for the next three months is a hectic one. Dense, with endless weeks with double matches, with very difficult opponents. The time for Víctor to get minutes and be a protagonist will soon come.’
