Despite being on the periphery of Luis Enrique’s plans at Paris Saint-Germain, Randal Kolo Muani (25) has ruled out a departure from the reigning Ligue 1 champions in January.

Kolo Muani’s fate at the Parc des Princes has looked sealed for some weeks. Just over one year after his €90m move from Eintracht Frankfurt, the France international does not look to have any future at PSG. L’Équipe reported earlier this month that the situation had reached a point of no return, reporting that the reigning Ligue 1 champions would be looking to offload Kolo Muani, perhaps for as little as €40m amid interest from the Premier League.

However, speaking earlier this week, the former FC Nantes forward said that he “hoped” to still establish himself at PSG. His thoughts aren’t on leaving PSG this summer but rather on convincing Luis Enrique to afford him more game time. “No, I’ve never thought about leaving PSG in January,” he told Téléfoot.

The PSG forward added, “I have to work more and make my mark when he (Luis Enrique) calls on me. I think that will do it.” Given his limited minutes so far, he has some convincing to do, but having the trust of Didier Deschamps at international level will at least allow Kolo Muani to continue to play a prominent role for the France national team.
