FLW's Watford fan pundit has identified the biggest problem at the club right now

Watford are in the hunt for a play-off place in the Championship this season.
The Hornets have been out of the Premier League since 2022, and have come 11th and 15th in the two years since their relegation.
But Tom Cleverley’s side are in the mix for a top six finish this year, albeit they face competition from a lot of clubs for those last two spots.
It was also reported last summer by The Standard that the Pozzo family, led by Gino Pozzo, are considering a sale of a stake of the club, raising some behind the scenes questions about their future at Vicarage Road.
When asked what the biggest issue at the club is right now, FLW’s Watford fan pundit raised his concern over the uncertainty of the ownership situation.
He believes there are a lot of unanswered questions that he’d like to get more clarity on given how important owners are to the running of the team.
“Probably the biggest issue at Watford right now is the uncertainty over the ownership,” Beattie told Football League World.
“I don’t think it’s any secret that Gino Pozzo is seeking external investment and/or new ownership of the club.
“And with that comes the whole question of what the new owners are going to be like, how they’re going to want to change the club, how much money are they going to put in, etc.
“So, it would be nice to know whether Gino Pozzo is thinking of holding onto the club, and if he is, how much he’s going to invest into the club.
“Or, if he’s going to sell, how long is that going to take, and who the new owners are going to be.”
Watford are currently 10th in the Championship table, three points adrift of the play-off places with 11 games still to play.
It first emerged that a potential sale of some kind at Watford was on the cards back in June, but there haven’t been many major updates since then.
This uncertainty will be concerning for supporters, and their summer business last year did show a lack of interest in big investment into the team.
But it’s been a positive season and perhaps that could lead to a change in thinking from the Pozzo family.
It remains to be seen, but the lack of updates on the situation means it’s difficult to read too much into what’s going on behind the scenes.
