Fiorentina coach Raffaele Palladino warns ‘the attitude is fundamental’ against LASK in the Conference League tonight, while outlining how he’ll replace Edoardo Bove in the side.

It kicks off at the Stadio Artemio Franchi at 17.45 GMT.

The Viola have won their last eight consecutive Serie A matches, but the Conference League is a much shorter process with only six games and they already lost one against APOEL.

There was already a hiccup last week with the Coppa Italia exit on a penalty shoot-out against Empoli.

“The attitude is fundamental this evening, because we’ve seen that in the Conference League there are teams who defend well and focus on the rapid transition,” Palladino told Sky Sport Italia.

“A lot depends on our quality, how quickly we pass the ball around and find those spaces. We must have the right attitude, be solid when defending and attacking together as a unit.

“I saw the lads were concentrated in training, so I am confident that will not be an issue.”

Goalkeeper Tommaso Martinelli gets his debut at the age of 18, but the 4-2-3-1 formation remains even without Bove, who left hospital yesterday following his medical emergency.

“Obviously, Bove has different characteristics, but Riccardo Sottil is doing good things out of possession too. Edoardo gave great solidity, Beltran and Gudmundsson are both impressive too, the strength of this team is that the strikers are the first line of defence,” continued Palladino.

“It’s not about individuals, we all work together and the lads know we all need to do that for the good of the team.”

Fiorentina have won three of their four Europa Conference League games so far and are hoping to reach the Final for the third year in a row.
