Former Sheffield United defender George Baldock was remembered in a touching tribute by both Chelsea and Panathinaikos fans ahead of kick off in the Conference League fixture this evening.

Baldock tragically passed away at the age of 31 after drowning in his swimming pool whilst playing for the Greek side.

And it was not only fans of the Greek club that paid tribute to the former Premier League player, as Chelsea also joined in with by producing a Chelsea shirt with his name on.

Baldock spent spells at MK Dons and Oxford United, before making the move to Sheffield in 2017, where he made a total of 219 appearances and became a much-loved player and person among everyone connected to the club.
