Roma are likely to be shorthanded for this weekend’s fixture against Sampdoria as both Pedro and Riccardo Calafiori are in doubt.
The attacker and left back suffered identical injuries during training over the past two days: strains to their right thigh flexor muscles.
The club’s medical staff announced that both players will be evaluated over the coming days, however, the pair were limited to individual work during this morning’s training session — a strong sign that they won’t be ready in time for Sunday afternoon’s match.
The Giallorossi will also be without first choice left back Leonardo Spinazzola, who was injured in the loss against Atalanta, and goalkeeper Antonio Mirante.
Should Pedro and Calafiori be unable to feature, Lorenzo Pellegrini and Bruno Peres are the favorites to replace them with Gonzalo Villar expected to start alongside Jordan Veretout in midfield.
