Chelsea continued their winning streak as they overpowered Brentford by 2-1 in the Premier League on Monday. Their next game is scheduled against Shamrock Rovers at home in the Europa Conference League on Thursday night.

The Blues are at the top of the points table in the Conference League. Hence, manager Enzo Maresca can afford to rotate the squad to keep the main guns fresh for the league games as they are in contention for the title apart from Liverpool.

Defence

Robert Sanchez commanded his area really well but as it’s a conference league match so Filip Jorgensen should be operating between the sticks. Axel Disasi should be walking into the starting XI as the right-back at the cost of Malo Gusto.

While Tosin Adarabioyo continues at the heart of the defence, Levi Colwill isn’t in the squad. Hence, Benoît Badiashile is the likely name to join Adarabioyo in defence. Even left-back Marc Cucurella gets a rest and his position will be up for grabs for Renato Veiga.

Midfield

Both Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo were superb against Southampton and are likely to make way for Cesare Casadei and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall in the middle of the park.

The likes of Cole Palmer, Jadon Sancho, and Nicolas Jackson aren’t present in the squad for this tie. In their absence, Pedro Neto is likely to operate on the right wing with João Félix playing in the central areas.

With Mykhailo Mudryk suspended, Tyrique George finds himself on the left flank with Christopher Nkunku being the all-out striker in the lineup.

Wesley Fofana, Omari Kellyman, and Reece James are all out unavailable for the Blues for selection as they all are suffering from hamstring injuries.
