Manchester City have added AC Milan’s Tijjani Reijnders to their transfer wishlist for the summer transfer window, as per a new report.

Kevin De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva, Mateo Kovacic and Matheus Nunes have all been linked with possible moves away from the Etihad Stadium at the end of the season.

After Pep Guardiola’s worst season as City manager since he took over in 2016, incoming sporting director Hugo Viana is expected to heavily back the Spaniard in the transfer market.

Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz, Atalanta’s Ederson and Juventus’ Andrea Cambiaso have all been reported to be of interest to the Premier League champions.

De Bruyne will be given the option of signing a one-year extension on reduced wages when he comes to the negotiating table with Manchester City officials, it has been mentioned.

Meanwhile, Silva’s future has been dealt with on a season-by-season basis since 2020, owing to the 30-year-old’s long-standing desire of moving closer to his homeland in Portugal.

A major revamp is expected when City conduct an honest assessment of their ageing, injury-riddled first-team squad at the end of the season – and there could be a significant financial outlay to build on the £181.5 million figure spent in January to sign Abdukodir Khusanov, Vitor Reis, Omar Marmoush and Nico Gonzalez.

Team Talk are reporting that Guardiola is keen to add AC Milan’s Tijjani Reijnders to his ranks after a stellar season in the Serie A for the Netherlands international.

City are believed to be willing to spend as much as £50 million for the 26-year-old, who has five years left on his current deal at the San Siro.

With Reijnders’ current deal running till 2030, AC Milan will be looking for as high a fee as they can get from Manchester City, who have missed Ballon d’Or winner Rodri for most of the season ahead of an impending return to action for the Spaniard.
