It was a night to remember for Pernille Harder during Denmark’s 7-0 win over Malta in their opening World Cup qualifier on Thursday.
The Chelsea forward managed to score her 66th goal for her country and etched herself into the records books in the process.
The strike means Harder is now Denmark’s all-time leading goal scorer, male or female.
Harder took to Twitter to share she was both “happy and proud” to achieve the feat and was overjoyed to celebrate breaking the record in front of fans at Viborg Stadion.
She’s certainly secured her status as a national team legend.
