Mexican striker Santiago Gimenez will follow Milan at San Siro on Sunday before formally joining the Rossoneri on a permanent transfer from Feyenoord.

Gimenez already underwent medical tests with the Serie A giants and will replace Alvaro Morata, who has landed in Turkey to join Galatasaray.

Gimenez was spotted on the touchline at San Siro alongside club director Geoffrey Moncada and Red Bird advisor Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The new Milan striker watched the warm-up and will be following the match from the stands at the Stadio Meazza.

“We had been tracking Gimenez for many months and already looked at him in the summer, but that was a different situation then,” Ibra said before kick-off.

“He is ready, I met him today and he’s fired up, can’t wait to start. We are all fired up.”

Milan will confirm his signing in the coming hours.
